Physical Characteristics

Ragdolls are a substantial and impressive breed. They are large, muscular, semi-longhair cats, with males typically weighing 7-9 kg and females 5-7 kg. They have a sturdy, rectangular body that can take up to four years to fully mature. Their most captivating features are their brilliant, oval-shaped blue eyes and their soft, silky, medium-length coat. The coat is pointed, meaning the body is a lighter color than the face, ears, legs, and tail. Accepted colors include seal, blue, chocolate, lilac, red, and cream, often in patterns like colorpoint, mitted, or bicolor.

Temperament & Personality

If you could design the perfect family cat, it would likely be a Ragdoll. Scoring a perfect 5/5 in affection, friendliness, kid-friendliness, and pet-friendliness, this breed is the epitome of a gentle companion. They are famously easygoing and quiet, with a low tendency to vocalize. Ragdolls are often described as "puppy-like" due to their tendency to follow their humans and greet them at the door. They enjoy being involved in household activities and are known for their floppy, relaxed nature when held—though they should always be supported. Care Requirements

Caring for a Ragdoll is relatively straightforward. Their silky coat is less prone to matting than other longhaired breeds, but it still requires regular grooming.
